Florida’s Minimum Wage on the Move
September 30, 2021, Florida's Minimum Wage will increase to $10.00 per hour.
On November 3, 2020, Floridians voted to increase Florida's minimum wage and approved Amendment 2. Under this amendment, Florida's current minimum wage of $8.65 will be increased to $10.00 on September 30, 2021. Each September 30th after that, the state’s minimum wage will increase by $1.00 per hour until it reaches $15.00 per hour in 2026.
Beginning September of 2027, Florida's minimum wage will be adjusted annually by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. These changes will be based on inflation, using the Consumer Price Index.
Below is the future schedule for these wages
- $10.00 on September 30, 2021
- $11.00 on September 30, 2022
- $12.00 on September 30, 2023
- $13.00 on September 30, 2024
- $14.00 on September 30, 2025
- $15.00 on September 30, 2026
